Dr. Amanda Castro is licensed by the state of California as a clinical psychologist. She received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University and her doctorate of psychology from the  California Institute of Integral Studies.

Dr. Castro completed an APA-accredited clinical internship at Children’s Institute in Los Angeles and a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at UCSF’s Child Trauma Research Program. She has worked extensively with both children and adults with a wide variety of presenting problems and mental health issues. Her approach to therapy is integrative drawing on psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, attachment, and family systems models.

Dr. Castro views a child as being embedded within their family system and, therefore, works jointly with children/adolescents and their parents with the goal of improving both child and family functioning. She provides child and family therapy, dyadic therapy for young children, as well as individual therapy for adults.

Dr. Castro is bilingual in Spanish and is able to provide therapeutic services to Spanish-speaking clients.

Dr. Jennifer Harrison

Dr. Jennifer Harrison is licensed by the state of California as a clinical psychologist. She holds a doctorate in clinical psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology, studied clinical psychology at Columbia University and received her Master of Arts in Art Therapy from New York University. She has Diplomate distinction at the National Center for Crisis Management and with the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. Dr. Harrison is a Board Certified, Registered Art Therapist.

Dr. Harrison has worked in a variety of settings including, hospitals, community mental health clinics, and school-based settings with children, families and individuals with complex presenting problems such as: trauma exposure, aggressive behavior, difficulties with affect regulation, attention problems, academic failure, eating disorders and impaired interpersonal relationships.

Dr. Harrison takes and evidence-based approach to treatment and utilizes such interventions as EMDR, TF-CBT and Art Therapy. Additionally, she provides psychological testing for children, adolescents, and adults.
