Bio
Elizabeth Antonette Papagni, PsyD, is a psychological associate at Therapy Partners who specializes in collaborative, therapeutic psychological testing. She holds graduate degrees from Harvard University, The New School for Social Research, McGill University, and The Wright Institute.
Elizabeth has experience conducting assessments with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults across community, university, outpatient, and inpatient hospital settings. She has worked with clients facing interpersonal, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral challenges, always approaching her work through a trauma-informed and culturally responsive lens. She is particularly attuned to the lasting effects of childhood adversity, systemic inequities, and other forms of trauma.
Her expertise includes evaluating cognitive functioning—such as giftedness and ADHD—as well as struggles with anxiety-related disorders and depression. She also conducts in-depth personality assessments for individuals navigating difficulties in their relationship with themselves and others. Elizabeth frequently collaborates with psychotherapists and psychoanalysts to deepen understanding of complex clients, providing insights that support and enrich ongoing treatment. Elizabeth views psychological testing as an “empathy magnifier,” a way to deeply understand clients within their cultural and psychological complexity, offering diagnostic clarity and thoughtful treatment recommendations. Known for her calm and compassionate presence, she helps clients feel supported and at ease throughout the process.
Outside of her clinical work, Elizabeth is passionate about the arts and serves as associate editor for Critica, an interdisciplinary psychoanalytic publication.
